Pre Authorization Policy

WHAT IS A PRE-AUTHORISATION?

A pre-authorization is a temporary hold of a specific amount of the available balance on a credit card that is provided upon booking. The pre-authorization is not a charge and no funds have been debited from your account.  The amount that we pre-authorize will depend on the number of nights that you stay.

The motel reserves the right to pre-authorize the booker's credit card 24 hours prior to arrival. This places the pre-authorized amount in a holding state which also temporarily reduces one’s credit limit. The pre-authorization is not a charge and no funds will be debited from the account, this will also not be reflected in the credit card statement since no charge has been made. The credit limit will be released back to the cardholder within 7-14 days depending on the issuing bank.

WHY IS THE CREDIT CARD PRE-AUTHORISED?

When you give us a credit card, the pre-authorization guarantees us that the funds are available to pay for any charges incurred.

For more information on this practice, we suggest contacting your bank for more information. Once a pre-authorization has been made, we cannot release, remove or lower the authorized amount, until we process the final account on departure.

***Please note that the motel reserves the right to pre-authorize your credit card 24 hours prior to arrival. Non-valid credit cards may result in cancellation of the reservation.
